Introduction to Athlete Tracking: New dates for Catapult education courses
As part of Catapult’s commitment to professional development for sports scientists, the business recently launched its first education course designed for students and junior practitioners.
Introducing attendees to the application of tracking data in the context of elite sport, the three-stage Introduction to Athlete Tracking course explores the ways in which athlete monitoring systems can be used to inform practice and address sport-specific performance questions.
Taught by experienced sports science practitioners and providing hands-on experience with Catapult technology, the BASES-endorsed course offers five CPD points for those who attend Levels 1 and 2.
“The knowledge and skills that I gained on Catapult’s courses are now fundamental to my role,” said Ross Jones, Head of Sports Science at Rochdale FC. “I would highly recommend the programme to anyone who has an ambition to forge a career in sports science.”
Launched in partnership with the University of Hull, the next Catapult Level 1 course will be hosted at the university’s school of sport and exercise science on Wednesday 1st May. The course is limited to just 20 places, so book soon to secure your place.
